Collecting and planning our props.

In our clip we need to collect the following props and costumes.

For Costume the actors we have chosen will wear clothes which they own so it will not be necessary for us to go out and collect or buy the costumes which our actors will need. The only thing we will need to do is talk to our actors about what they need to wear. We can arrange any part of costume if our actors don’t have something which they need.

For Rosie, she needs to wear casual clothes, e.g. trousers/jeans, trainers, coloured

t-shirt/top, sometimes a skirt, and in the gym scene sport clothing, shorts, running shoes and a top.

For Eddie he will wear smart clothing, jumper/sweater, chinos/trousers, and nice smart shoes. This shows us that he is quite posh.

For frank, he will wear casual clothes, but since he is someone who is into sports he will wear tracksuits, hoodie and trainers.

We only really require one prop for our final product. It is books for when the characters are in the library scene.

Casting of our characters.

For task 34, we have to pic and decide on actors who we want to use in our films and use casting shots.

Our first actor is Payu Von Bueren is in year 12 Duffus from Thailand. He will play the role of Frank, He has drama experience at GCSE level. He will fit the role of Frank because the idea of Frank was Payu and he is based on himself. The main scene frank needs to be in is a scene in our gym, Payu is very sporty and goes to the gym quite often. He will fit the role of Frank well.

Our second actor is Georgie McKinnon Smith in year 13. She will have the role of Rosie. She will be good in the role of Rosie as she wears similar clothes to what we planned Rosie to be wearing.

Our third actor is Edward Ryeland, He will play the role of Eddie, He again has previous drama experience from younger years at the school. He will fit the role of Eddie well because he dresses well and has smart clothes.

We have chosen these actors as the will fit the role we need to be filled due to their traits and specialities.

Risk Assessment.

It lists all the possible risks and possibilities of danger which our group could encounter. It lists the way in which we can prevent these problems. We did this so we minimise the risks of accidents whilst filming and keep our group safe.

For this task Georgie created the Table with the info typed, everyone in the group discussed and gave their opinions on potential risks.

Locations of filming

For task 32 we have to show potential locations in which we might film parts of our film. Knowing these locations will help us plan what we will film at these locations.

Another location is the road between the sports hall and the refectory, this location is used to show Eddie and Frank meeting up and having a conversation and then heading to the classrooms.

The second location is the Art Classroom. We used this classroom because it was bright and vibrant making the audience look around and get a feel for what the location is like. We also used this classroom as it had alot of books which was one of the main props we needed for our character Eddie as he likes studying.Screen Shot 2017-03-20 at 08.46.42.png

The final location is the EAL classrooms we used this location to show the two friends making a mutual agreement. We used it as it was available to us at the time whilst other classrooms weren’t and the lighting in this classroom was good and contained enough natural light.Screen Shot 2017-03-20 at 08.47.10.png

Shot list.

For task 31 we had to create a shot list of the possible shots in our 2 film. Myself and Ed typed up the shot list and all the group members contributed the info and facts. (Georgie, Nathan, Payu and Ed).

The shot list is important when making our 2 minute opening scene. It will allow us to be organised whilst filming and get everything like mise en scene, shot type, movement of camera, lighting and costume correct and get the best possible footage which in the long run will make the overall outcome of the 2 minute opening be really good and well filmed. This is why we did it.

This shot list also shows our order of and ideas of the types of shots, angles and movement we want to use.

In this task myself and Ed wrote the shortlist, and it was corrected a bit after filming by Payu and Georgie.
